Welcome to the Jay County Baseball Club site!
About Us
We are one of the Up an coming premier travel baseball programs in central Indiana and we are Jay County's only hometown travel baseball club. We have a partnership with Jay County High School's baseball coaching staff, including head coach Todd Farr. Our players wear the same colors as the Jay County High School team and have many opportunities to interact directly with Patriot players and coaches. Several Jay County High School players were a Jay County Club baseball member at some time in their career, and we are very proud of this legacy. Since we only take kids into our program who live in Jay County, every kid who plays for our club represents not only our club, but also our city.
The Jay County Baseball Club travel baseball program is designed to provide a high level of training and competition to those athletes that have a desire to further develop their baseball skills. As such, the Jay County Baseball Club travel baseball program requires a significant involvement from both parents and athletes alike.
Vision
To provide the best and most effective community-based travel baseball program for athletes living in the Jay community and to develop each athlete's fundamental skills and aptitude to play competitive baseball at the middle school level, high school level, and beyond.
Mission
Our mission is as follows:
Offer an instructive and competitive atmosphere
Teach fundamental baseball while at the same time reinforcing life skills and values such as honesty, work ethic, leadership, good sportsmanship, and teamwork.
Provide a fun and rewarding experience to help inspire and develop a player's passion for the game.
Prepare all athletes to be physically and mentally ready to compete.
To continuously improve all aspects of the program.
Travel Baseball Commitment
Based on the recommendations of the Jay County Baseball Club Travel Committee in coordination with the Jay County High School Athletic Program Leadership and Coaches, the Jay County Baseball Travel Team Program has adopted the following policy for the Patriot Baseball Season:
Jay County Club Travel Baseball Program activities and events will be the TOP SPORTS PRIORITY for each and every player on a Jay County Baseball Team for the entire duration of the season.
This policy means:
All Patriot players are expected to attend all events (practices and games) unless there is a family or school event or illness that prevents them from attending the event.
Anytime there is a conflict between an event (practices or games) and another team sporting event of any type, the event will be the Patriot player's top priority, and the Patriot player will attend and participate in the Patriot event. This includes team meetings with the Team Coach before or after practices and games. As an example, if a Coach asks players to arrive 30 minutes before a game to get ready for the game or meet for 10 minutes after a game to talk about the game, that time is considered a top priority just as much as the game or practice time itself.
If a Patriot player misses an event for any outside team sporting event, that player should expect reduced playing time in games and practices.
If a Patriot player attends an event after playing for or practicing with another sports team earlier in the day of a Patriot event and appears to the Coach to be tired or playing at less than full capacity, the Coach at his own discretion may reduce or eliminate playing time for that player during a game or practice.
For the duration of the Patriot season, all of the players are expected to put the best interests of their Team above the interests of any other sports team
